Our first venture on the water in 2026. This sailex has been arranged to take benefit from Global Warming !! and dust down your sailing gear for another year.

This sailex takes advantage of the better mid week pricing offered by Fairview Sailing and is intended to focus on the Solent and surrounding areas. Nearer the time we plan to see if we can overnight berth on the yacht on Sunday 1st March. This subject to agreement. It has been a few years since we last had an early sail from Fairview.

In familiar waters we will familiarize ourselves with the yacht, its features, characteristics and systems and to take more time than usual to share knowledge and to practice skills, exercises and drills. In the process we are likely to just concentrate on short hop day sailing within the Solent from the River Hamble to the Needles/Lymington/Yarmouth in the West to Bembridge/Hayling in the East. The preference will be to sail with the weather conditions and spring tides in mind at all times rather than to resort to motor. So there will be no urgency to get anywhere in particular apart from the most convenient marina and perhaps one sheltered anchorage for lunch before sunset . We will be eating on board in the main to keep costs reasonable with only two evening meals initially planned ashore. On board Food, Berthing, fuel and security deposit costs are extras to be shared as per the T.O.G. terms and conditions of booking.

We have chartered one Beneteau Oceanis 37 and plan to sail with a crew of four. As of Christmas 2025 we have just one berth available for this event. Berth cost for the full midweek sailex £270 pp.
